Workshops

Our workshops are designed to be insightful and engaging. We aim to reach diverse audiences and intersect conversations of family policing with a broad range of topics.

Reimagining Care: A Trauma-Informed Workshop for Healthcare Professionals Working with Adoptees & Youth-from-Care

CURRENTLY PILOTING - 2 FREE SPOTS LEFT: The family policing system and healthcare often share an approach characterized by rushing to fix issues, reduce pain, and return to normal. For adoptees and youth in care, this instinct can be harmful. "Reimagining Care" is a two-hour workshop designed to encourage healthcare professionals to slow down and truly observe. Instead of asking ‘what is wrong,’ the focus shifts to 'what happened' and ‘what do you wish for?’

Walking the Tightrope:  Navigating Schools as Sites of Family Policing Intervention and Prevention

CURRENTLY PILOTING - 3 FREE SPOTS LEFT: Every day, in classrooms across so-called Canada, adoptees and youth affected by the family policing system carry histories most educators haven't been trained to recognize. “Walking the Tightrope” is a two-hour online workshop designed to equip teachers, counsellors, and special education staff with frameworks, language, and practical tools to foster prevention rather than surveillance.
